Boards and commissions play an important role in governing Floyd County. Membership is not to be taken lightly but should be considered as a contribution to maintaining and improving the quality of life in our community. These advisory groups can be valuable community assets and effective partners with the Board of Supervisors and staff in shaping the future of our County.

Board and commission members provide a valuable link to the community and assist in the development of policy recommendations to the Board of Supervisor. They provide leadership and support to city staff and also provide expertise in specialized areas. If you are interested in serving on a city board or commission, fill out an application.
